- Flammenküche from Alsace.
- 1 and 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoon oil
- 1 small onions
- 4 oz bacon
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3 oz shredded swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 6to 10 minutes until brown
Directions:Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
To make the crust, mix the flour, oil and water with a pinch of salt.
Roll out crust and place in a 9 inch greased pie pan.
Peel onions and cut into thin slices salt and peper to taste.
Cut bacon into small cubes
Add in a bowl : sour cream - egg - salt - one table spoon flour - mix together.
Put mixture on the crust, followed by the bacon and onions, and last put the shredded cheese.
Put in oven on upper rack.
Baked high heat for 6-10 minutes.
